Return to A New Bathroom - Some New Arrivals
Praise God He has sent rain to this parched land. It is so abnormal for it to rain this time of year and this is our second day of heavy rain with another two days forcast. Also very high winds. I was awake all night with the rocking of the camper and this morning after many tries to keep the screened room on the camper we finally had to go out in the storm and take it off completely and store it in the barn. All of this is a small problem when we realize what a great blessing the rain is.
Dan and Rochelle just got back last night from a missionary conference in California and today they are digging trenches to keep the water out of the house which is not finished yet
Of course they are just in the process of putting in a bathroom at Beth and Paul's and they cut through the wall into their bedroom the other day for a doorway and it is covered with a blue tarp. I haven't dared to ask Beth yet how much water is on her bedroom floor!!!!!!But all in the name of progress and it will be worth it to her when it is done.
We looked after the kids at the boy's house last night so the Stearns could have a night off for their anniversary and a nice quiet meal out. The kids are so good with us now that they know us better and seem almost like our own. It will be hard to leave them
Guess Larry will not be working on bicycles for a few days. Just a reminder that the girls are getting older and most of the bikes they have are for smaller children so we really could use some good second hand larger Mountain bikes to bring down next year if you are so inclined to donate them. We thank everyone who donated this year as each one is being well used.
We also can use lots of hand knit socks, not wool, and touques and a few mittens and even hand made dolls or toys that are washable for next year. They were wonderful for the outreaches in the villages. Because of the dirt and dust here everything and especially toys must be washable as they get dirty so quickly.
We thank you all for all your help and donations and prayers. You are all such a great part of our ministry down here and you will never know unless you come how fortunate you are to live in the country that you do with windows and doors and stoves and food and clothing and just so many other things that we all take for granted.
