Return to Moving Into The Final Weeks...

Some Students at Rancho Marantha..

My back is not improving a lot at the moment and Shirley still has some difficulty walking or standing for long times. This season, I can not work any more construction projects or drive the rough roads to the village ministries. We had our plans when we came here this season; but, when God finished laughing at them, He has given us ministries that we can do with our limitations. Here is Shirley with one of the classes of children that we teach at Rancho Maranatha now. We teach in the school there now, two days a week. There are four computers and one Geo World electronic teaching machine. Keep scrolling down to see our schedule for a week now.

Marilu and Dolce

Marilu is still coming to Alamos from Rancho Maranatha two mornings a week for training in MS Office. In this photo she brought along her friend Dolce for the lesson. She arrives on the 9:30 AM bus, which means that she is usually here by 10:00 AM. She has learned a bit of MS Word, Excel, and is now very excited about doing a Power Point presentation. She works at this until noon and then we have lunch, talk a bit and take her back to catch the 1:30 bus back to Rancho Maranatha.

Sunday Morning Service

We attend a Sunday Morning Church Service at John's, the same one that we have been attending since we started coming to Mexico. On this Sunday, John was in the USA on this Sunday, so I was asked to conduct a bible study at Edith's house. This is Edith, Carole, and I and ,of course, Shirley took the photo. There is usually from six to twelve people in attendance at this service this year.

ADDITIONAL NOTE TO THE ABOVE SCHEDULE
It should be noted that this is a list of our scheduled tasks only. There are many unscheduled tasks, as there always seems to be. We are preparing postcards for sale on eBay when time allows, lately time has not allowed us to spend much time on this task. We are still finding people and situations for some of the things we brought with us. ie. quilts, eye glasses, some clothing. All are on going and will be until the day we leave here if past experience is any indicator. We are also buying and distributing dispensas once a month, as well as visiting various pastors and friends in Alamos. On our free days, it is not unusual for us to have several visitors at our camper. We also have a construction project starting this week and we will need to order / pay for materials, as well as make sure that it is staying on schedule, so that it will be complete when we leave Alamos to return home in March, God willing.
